  • The Rally to Read was started in 1998 as a project which invests in the improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the teaching of literacy skills in rural schools throughout South Africa. The tour cost buys books housed in portable classroom libraries, and funds teacher training costs. Once at the schools, Rally participants meet and interact with the learners and teachers who benefit from the deliveries as well as the subsequent professional development which is provided for 3 years by The READ Educational Trust.

We believe in Responsible Tourism The Bundu Safari Company and Wagon Trails believes in the philosophy of responsible tourism. It is a philosophy designed to bring about constructive social, cultural, environmental and economic consequences to the areas in which we operate.
Our guides are friendly, knowledgeable and are qualified and registered with all the guiding bodies. Most important is that they have a passion for Africa and its people. Being involved in the safari industry for 10 years now, we have established a good working relationship with many of the National Parks on our itineraries.
Magnificent scenery such as the Kruger Park, Blyde River Canyon, Drakensburg Mountains, Kwa-Zulu Natal coastline, Swaziland, Cape Town, Wild Coast, Garden Route, Victoria Falls, Okavango Delta are just a few of the possible sights. Our varying itineraries not only combine the important elements of scenic, cultural and wildlife experiences but also add a taste of adventure and in some instances pure adrenalin.
Gradually the company has grown from strength to strength and now operates throughout Southern and Eastern Africa.
At the beginning 2005 we expanded to incorporate Wagon Trails Adventure Holidays into our portfolio of companies.
We are the proud owners of the Bundu Safari Lodge, situated amongst world renowned Private Game Reserves and a semi-luxury tented camp in a private concession within the Southern Kruger Park.
Whether it be a game lodge or camping wild in the Kruger Park, we ensure that your comfort is top priority at all times. According to the chosen itinerary, accommodation varies from luxury en-suite chalets, rustic bungalows, traditional tribal huts to spacious two person canvas dome tents with comfortable mattresses.
Through us you are assisting local businesses, job creation, cultural development programs and various environmental groups.
Our guides are chosen for their leadership skills and are wonderful ambassadors for our company and our beautiful Continent. We pride ourselves on service excellence at all times and are members of the various tourism governing authorities like SATSA, FGASA, THETA, SATOUR, CAPTOUR as well as members of Backpacker Tourism South Africa.
